Several businesses from across the north-east have been shortlisted in this year’s Scottish Independent Retail Awards.

Now in its 10th year, the awards aim to recognise independent retailers from across the country who work hard to provide their customers with exceptional services.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Independent Retail Awards 2020 said: “We would like to thank the Scottish public for all their support over the last decade as we couldn’t have done it without them.

“Undoubtedly, independent retailers are the very backbone of the Scottish economy as they make huge contributions to the country’s revenue by creating employment opportunities and enhancing the communities they operate within.

“The competition is really tough, but each finalist has their own success story to tell. We cannot wait to celebrate the winners and a full decade of Scottish Independent Retail Awards with our guests.

“We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck.”

The winners will be announced at a glamorous ceremony in Glasgow’s Marriott Hotel on Wednesday April 1.
